UNNI- A children's film

UNNI- MURALI NAIR TELLS A STORY OF CHILDREN

Unni, a Malayalam film in that lead roles were done by children, is a very interesting movie. He used the talent of children to say their small mischieves as a beautiful story. Such an enjoyment by students can be seen only in villages. The teachers having nicknames “Meesa “ ( The Moustache ), Kuttiyana ( small elephant) , Punchiri( Smile) etc make the adults to think back about their school age. The enthusiasm to know the unknown on opposite sex , lighter mischieves, punishments, love of teachers to students and the clear and simple life of the villagers all shown with its color and pomp. The camera work, editing and music are good. The child artists and the teachers acted well. Even the small characters touches our heart. The faces are new and that makes the viewers much impressed.
