Happy Onam

Dear All
Wish all of you a happy onam.
When the feudal system prevailed in Kerala, the people belonged to lower castes, not by birth, but by creation of such a situation by the so called brahmins who enjoyed the life with all material happiness at that time, dreamed of a world in that a king ruled the country in that all were equal. The people belonged to lower castes always thought such a period will come back, if Mahabali, the King who was sent to pathala by a vamana who originally was Vishnu. It is only because of that they celebrated Onam during the feudal period. They submitted good agricultural content to the Janmi and taken dress and some money in return. Only beacuse of the dream to get a world where all are equal, The communist movement established in Kerala. Now, the picture of kerala is very different. Most of the people are rich when compare with people belong to other states and are having good onasadya most of the days and getting new cloths whenever they like.

Eventhen, Onam is a nostalgia, a dream and have strong emotions.
